My daughter and I recently traveled to Toronto, Canada to see Oasis perform at the Virgin Music Festival Sept. 7th 2008. We couldnt see the stage very well and had no idea why the concert suddenly stopped in the middle of "Morning Glory" but another fan closer to the front caught it all "on tape." (as if anything uses tape anymore lol) Noel Gallagher is attacked by a drunken 47 yr old Canadian whilst performing onstage! Noel suffered rib and ligament injuries and a broken guitar.
The reports I read said that Liam had to be restrained from attacking the crazed fan but I dont see much restraining going on. Maybe it happened backstage? It is impressive that only a few minutes later the band returned to finish the concert, even tho Noel was injured. He was, according to a TV report, taken to the hospital after the show.
